Babies Need A LOT of Things...

And Three Babies Need Even MORE!

There have been a lot of necessary changes and or purchases in the Skibness household lately.  I mean, everyone knows that babies need a lot of things, but when you then multiple those needs by three...WOW!!
 We finally registered ~ it took TWO days!  This was mostly because I simply did not have the energy to try and hit both Babies R US and Target in the same day, but still!  The babies need A LOT of stuff!

Chicco Polly High Chair - Elm*  3 car seats
*  3 cribs
*  3 mattresses
*  3 high chairs

*  2 pack n plays

Bumbo Floor Seat - Rose PinkAnd those are just the big things!  I mean there are so many little things like diapers, bottles, bibs, dressers, activity mats, walkers, etc. that the girls need as well!  Thankfully both Adam and I believe in "pre-loved" items (for things that are not safety related ~ cribs, mattresses, car seats are out of bounds) and do not mind if our babies are the second in line, but there is still a ton of stuff!

This week we bit the bullet and purchased a "new to us" vehicle for the babies.  We got a 2010 Suburban, which has car seat harnesses for 4 (Chunky Monkey can come for rides with us) or seating for 8 adults later.  Talk about a HUGE purchase ~ but it was a necessary one...now if I could only learn how to park the dang thing!

We also ordered our cribs (thank you Grandma Jamie and/or Great Grandma Carol).  This was a challenge as we wanted to find something safe, sturdy, not overly expensive and pretty (this is important)!  Thankfully Target came through for us and we found a crib style we both liked and agreed we could handle seeing in triplicate!  Also great was the fact that the crib has matching dressers and a changing table dresser that could be purchased separately.  These have already shipped ~ hopefully Adam's ready to put them together!

So the babies now have a safe vehicle to travel in and cribs to sleep in...mattresses still need to be purchased, but hey, we're getting there!

The babies are now 21 weeks ~ can you believe it!  In truth we are probably over a two-thirds the way done with our pregnancy, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that these babies keep baking!

At 21 weeks a singleton baby is the size of a POMEGRANATE.  A singleton baby would measure at approximately 10.5 inches in length and weigh between 12.2 - 12.7 ounces.

We do not have a doctor's appointment this week, so I do not have comparative numbers, however, I like to think our babies are keeping pace and maybe even still surpassing their singleton counterparts.

Keep those fingers crossed that Runt Baby is eating and growing!
